Development hereby makes the following Order:

PROFESSIONAL ENGINEERS (QUALIFICATION FOR REGISTRATION AS PROFESSIONAL
ENGINEERS) (EXEMPTION) ORDER 2006
In exercise of the powers conferred by section
37 of the Professional Engineers Act, the Minister for National
Development hereby makes the following Order:Citation and commencement
1.
This Order may be cited as the
Professional Engineers (Qualification for Registration as Professional
Engineers) (Exemption) Order 2006 and shall be deemed to have come
into operation on 1st December 2005.
Exemption
2.
The Minister hereby exempts, from
section 15 (2) (b) of the Act, any person who —(a)
submits an application for registration as a
professional engineer within 6 months from 1st December 2005; and
(b)
after obtaining the degree or qualification referred
to in section 15 (1) (a) of the Act, has acquired
at least 5 years of practical experience referred to in rule 5 of
the Professional Engineers Rules (R 1) as at 1st December 2005.
